Home-cooked meals, baby Asparagus wrap

As committed to stew, I tried to have more home-cook meals on weekend. Well, it’s simply a simple dish. On Saturday, I cooked Lotus Roots soup since both Gen-X need soup for their meal, mix vegetable stir-fries with fresh scallops and this, with my own recipe.
baby Asparagus wrap
It's not often to find fresh scallops at wet market. But it happened to have on that day and surprisingly that it's not expensive as thought.... RM6.00 for 500g. I put half of it on Gen-x lunch,as scallops porridge. It tasted so fresh and sweet.

My ever great satisfaction is looking at them, enjoying the meal that I prepared for them...Imagine, I need to wake up early morning on my rest day and rush to market for their meals preparation. You know, I never have to do this before. Now that I know, why my mom so in needs of going wet market everyday... after all, she just want to prepare a meal for her family.

1st Trial on Cereal Prawn

It was a very fine fine day last weekend and I decided to have a trial on homecook 'Cereal Prawn' which we usually ordered at restaurant. The dish ended to be pretty tasty (at least I got a good response from my choosey sis). But it's not as crispy as the version at restaurant. Probably I should add in some egg for the crispy taste.

Here is the simple recipe to share:

Ingredient:
1 packet - Ready Cereal (oat)
500g - Prawn
2 Chilli padi
some curry leaves
1 table spoon - butter

Seasoning:
Sugar, salt, sesame oil (quantity according to individual taste)

Method:
1. Clean the prawns and leave the shell on. Marinate the prawns with some salt, pepper and sesame oil for about 30 minutes.

2. Deep fried the prawns until golden colour, drain and set aside.

3. Heat up frying pan and melt the butter, add in chilli padi & curry leaves. Fried till there is an aroma. Add in cereal and sugar and fried for a while, mix in the prawns until well-mixed. Turn off the heat and it's ready to serve.

Isn't it simple?? Enjoy the recipe...

Macaroni Salad

I’ve started my vegetarian diet due to skin outbreak I had recently as well as for sake of healthy living. After searching and studying the ingredient in making salad, I’ve finally created my first home-made Macaroni Salad.

Ingredients:

1 cup macaroni, cooked and drained
10 pcs cherry tomato, halved
1 stalk small carrot, roughly chopped
1 stalk celery, roughly chopped
1 pc baby lettuce
1 pc red apple, roughly chopped
2 tbls mayonnaise
1 tbls thousand island sauce
1 pinch salts, to taste

After all ingredients has been prepared and cooked, combine all into a large bowl and mix it well. Chill it and it is ready to serve. Simple isn't it? Enjoy it….
