What a Jinggle December (Backdated)

Month of December, always a delightful month of all. I love the snowy feeling despite we don’t get the chance to experience it in our land. However the decorations at majority of malls do put us on that feels especially if in Singapore.

Of we went to Terminal 3, Changi Airport in Singapore on one weekend. With the ‘Angry Birds’ theme of décor, the kids love it.

Paddington, the pancake

Ever since I’ve residing in JayBee (JB), having meal at restaurant becomes the hardest task I ever had. It is because of Xavier who never had a good table manner that ended that I’ve never ever enjoy my meal. I know I can’t be taken home meals forever.

So during the week in KL (CNY holiday), I was so happy that we had a peaceful session of meal. Went to Paddington House of pancake and tried out their pancake. It’s awesome until my two babies would never say ‘No’ to it.
My in-law were so busy entertaining Xavier while Xandria and I had a good bite on our pancake.

eventful weekend...

I had a great time in KL over the weekend, indeed it’s a long weekend for us. I’ve taken 2 days because of Stew, who has something to do in Ipoh on Monday. So, we decided to stay in KL until Tuesday. It was a tiring trip to us where we’ve been going here and there.

Xandria was so happy by having her peer cousins to play with, while Xavier being loves by everyone for his cheeky and funky smile. All his requests being fulfilled especially when he was with his paternal grandpa & grandma.

We went to KL Bird Park on Sunday (click HERE for more photos) and the kiddos were so happy looking at the birds. For myself, no much of ‘ME’ time but I love seeing kiddos with their happy face all the time. Guess that is what most mommies hope for.

spot the 'mat salleh' on the right? His mommy requested to take photo with them...but his like so unwilling for it!!!

first attempt to home-made breakfast

I’ve committed to Stew that I’ll try to have more home cook since we own a complete kitchen. Be frankly, I own a pretty nice kitchen although I’m not a good, frequent cooker. During the December long holiday, I decided to try on some recipe I got from a blogger who own a very nice foodies blog, Bits of Taste.. Gosh… by looking at the photo, I was like been starving for few days.

I make a good try on this recipe. Stew and both Gen-x loves it…

Arashi Shabu-Shabu

We had our first try at the newly opened Japanese Shabu-Shabu style restaurant in Jusco Tebrau City. Thought it’s something new and special by it’s name, somehow it’s just similar to our steamboat style. Probably the different are the steam pot they used, smaller and more hygienic as it’s not shared; the eating style, instead of putting all raw food into the pot, but it’s to dip each of your food. No doubt, it’s something new to us…

I love the restaurant deco, so comfy and great decorations...

Apparently it is same with what we ate at the normal steamboat restaurant. Just the food that caters for 3 adults has cost about RM150.00. I wondered with that amount of paying, we could actually have about 10 pax at the normal steamboat restaurant, and with ‘Eat All You Can’ style.

After all, it’s a good try!!

the moment captured...

I love this photo the most... i love the bonding of two!!!

the little darling of mine...

These photos were taken few weeks ago when we went to Desaru seaside and Ostrich Farm. Both Xandria & Xavier were so excited to be able to go 'kai kai' (outing).

Disneyland, can we??

We had been so busy since the day we bought the house. From the purchasing to the entire renovation, Stew has never take a good rest and so do I. Stew has to monitor on the works and I had to monitor on the 2 ‘babies’ which need to be accompanied all the time.

I told Stew that I wish to settle down everything within this month and have a good rest. I hinted him that many blogger mommies were went to vacation especially to Hong Kong. Yeah, I wish to go there too. I wish Stew able to sponsor us (the children & me) on the Disney Tickets. I wish to experience the fairytale moment where I’ve been long waited.

Stew, will you? I texted him about it and he replied this: ‘wait till AA got free tickets first’…. LOL

1st Trial on Cereal Prawn

It was a very fine fine day last weekend and I decided to have a trial on homecook 'Cereal Prawn' which we usually ordered at restaurant. The dish ended to be pretty tasty (at least I got a good response from my choosey sis). But it's not as crispy as the version at restaurant. Probably I should add in some egg for the crispy taste.

Here is the simple recipe to share:

Ingredient:
1 packet - Ready Cereal (oat)
500g - Prawn
2 Chilli padi
some curry leaves
1 table spoon - butter

Seasoning:
Sugar, salt, sesame oil (quantity according to individual taste)

Method:
1. Clean the prawns and leave the shell on. Marinate the prawns with some salt, pepper and sesame oil for about 30 minutes.

2. Deep fried the prawns until golden colour, drain and set aside.

3. Heat up frying pan and melt the butter, add in chilli padi & curry leaves. Fried till there is an aroma. Add in cereal and sugar and fried for a while, mix in the prawns until well-mixed. Turn off the heat and it's ready to serve.

Isn't it simple?? Enjoy the recipe...

Weekend updates....

The weekend just over and you can actually imagine how time flied. It was indeed a Public Holiday to some companies in Sin on 8 May (Sat). Yeah, it's Wesak Day. Too bad, it falled on weekend and guess many employee like me got no chance to enjoy ONE more day of public holiday. Ok, what we did over the weekend?

8 May 2009 (Sat)
I'm a vegetalian when it's either Chor Yat or Sap Ng (1st & 15th day of each month in lunar calendar). No reason of why but I guess it's good to eat meatless for 2 days. As it's Wesak Day, I brought my two Gen-X to a temple nearby the neighbourhood. It was so crowded and Xandria was behaved a little bit nervous and being so quiet, look around. As for Xavier, he was such a good boy. No fuss, no whine and I able to have a peaceful vegetalian breakfast.

9 May 2009 (Sun)
Happy Mother's Day to all mother!

No special celebration but a simple dinner served. We went to King Crab Restaurant as I've been craving for that Creamy Butter Crab long time ago. Again, it was so crowded and ended no table for us, blamed Stew for no reservation made eaerlier. After waited for about 10min, the captain managed to get one for us. Maybe because of long craving, the crab was that tasty indeed and I actually looking forward to try one at Desa WaterPark. Or maybe I should try out myself at home.

Farewell Seafood Buffet

The Secretary of Group GM was so eagerly to have this farewell party to her boss who was forced to retired end of March 2009. Though the purpose of having a farewell party is to celebrating someone’s great news on getting a better offer. Somehow, this farewell party held with an opposition meaning. Everyone knew it wasn’t that GM’s willingness to be retired but… what other choices do we have? Who to blame then?

Be frankly, I'm don't feel good with that farewell dinner we had. Imagine, by paying RM55 and I've being served with a lousy food. It was the worst buffet I ever had....

I am craving for...

Guess what I’ve been craving for during my second pregnancy?? It’s CHOCOLATE…!

Ever since the hypoglycaemia issue, I’ve been advised to increase by blood sugar level by consuming more sweets. I don’t really like sweets as I find it caused my tongue tasteless few minutes after gulped. Thus, I would rather choose for chocolate then.

The other day, my colleagues were surprised to see my desk full with snacks like these:

i) Munchy’s Chocolate waffer
ii) Danone Chips More cookies
iii) Toblerone Mini Chocolate
iv)
Guylian Belgium Chocolate (gifted by my boss)

Anyone want to share with me?? :)

Restaurant King Crab...

Ever since I’ve been back to work, I never had the time to really have a dinner with colleagues. Thus, I suggested that we went to try on the ‘King Crab’ since I’ve been craving for it long time ago. We ordered few dishes and not forget to the main course of the crab.
(can you see the above yummy 'butter crab'? It's my favourite dish....)

China candies...

The boss just came back from China and bought these candies for the staff. We all were attracted by that cute and colourful wrapping. Somehow, none of us were dare to eat as we all know, the products made in China are usually out of quality and the safety vise was the main issued we concerned. Do you dare to try?

(They told me the candies tasted so badly leh….)

Wantan Mee...

Actually, they aren’t any special about the Wantan Mee. In fact, I found the noodle tasted so wishy-washy except the fried Wantan. So, what attracted me to try on it then? It’s the hubs who decided to go there and according to him, is the cook who caught his attraction. He cooked the noodle by throwing it up to the ceiling. I guess it’s a new tactic of business…
(btw, the noodles really not my choice...)

Backdated - Dinner@Shogun, JB

We had no idea where to have our dinner and thought of having light dinner since hubs has to collect a sample part from a client in town. Eventually, we had a Japanese buffet dinner at Shogun. Wow…. It has been long time I didn’t try on Japanese cuisine.

Well, the dishes were tasty and among the dishes, I love ‘chawan mushii’ very much. Look at the photo, can you spot the thick thick shark fin in it?? Yummy….

Dinner at Moon Light Restaurant...

You know what, it is kind of boring where you have no choice but to have your dinner outside everyday. Both hubs and I have completely out of idea in deciding what to eat or where to eat. Hubs complaints that he started to disgustful toward food stalls and thus, we’ve been going this restaurant few times.

He just loves the atmosphere there very much. As for me, I love their ‘Chinese Fried Rice’ and ‘Chicken Soup’.
