Holiday on Cruise@Superstar Virgo

I had spent my three days holidays on the Superstar Virgo last week. As understand from my friend, Supercruise Virgo is the biggest ship compared to Gemini, Leo etc. Wow, it was really really big....! It supposed to be such a great & excited trip but end up with quite boring as nothing much you can do except gambling & eating.

Nothing much we can do on the first day as we checked-in at 6.30pm from the Harbourfront Centre. After settled down with our luggage & baggage, we went for the dinner which offered by the cruise. It was chinese cuisine with five course of foods included Ginseng with Sharkfin soup, roasted pork, vege, Patin with Asam style & dessert. The foods tasted not bad but not delicious. Followed by was our Karaoke section. It was chargeable per hour with complimentary of bir & some snacks but we changed the bir to 'Ice Lemon Tea' coz none of us were drinking bir. Funny..

Stew & I woke up at 6.30am the next day to catch up with a good view on the sunrise! We went to the top of the ship, it was so cold & windy. We both were feeling like freezy & shaking... Until about 8am, we went back to room & continue our sleep. hahaha.....too tired! There were no special actitity on the second day. However, Stew & my friend went to Casino for a lucky game...my friend lost more than S$5k while Stew lost about S$100 (all expenses were dealed inside the cruise is either US$ or S$, MYR is not acceptable at all). No winner for this trip!

My friend & his wife suggested to go swimming afterward. So, we just swam for a while. Later, we had our afternoon nap outside the deck (which you can have a good view on the ocean) since nothing to do. It was a windy day......We both were so relaxing & enjoyed our nap there till the dinner time. It was BBQ Buffet dinner nearby the poolside. Wow....so many people, so crowded!! Finally, we've got a table for our dinner!

Till the next morning, it was already 9.30am when we all woke up. We will be checking-out at 11am. No more breakfast for us (the breakfast time was 6am-10am). With no choice, we had our breakfast at a 'chargeable' restaurant. A noodle cost about S$9.50 excluded government tax & service tax. Kinda expensive.... About 11am, everybody (only guests with redemable point) awaited at a hall & to be going off from the cruise. For those VIP will be checked-out directly from the lobby.

Eventually, it is a good & relaxing trip to me. But if it is for those senior people & family with children, I believe it will be more fun as children can enjoy themselve by playing games, swimming, playing golf etc while senior people can go for dancing, of course gambling! However, for those who never experience on cruising, you should go for it at least once. So relaxing..... !!!

Kinsahi Restaurant

As planned earlier, I will be having my 'holiday on cruise' on Oct 27, 2006 & the port of embark will be at Harborfront, Singapore. Therefore, i went to Johor with Stew yesterday as he has started to work today.

Stew brought me to a japanese restaurant, Kinsahi (famous at JOhor) for our dinner last nite. I've ordered a 'Salmon don' while Stew ordered a 'Spider King Noodle' & sushi set - Imperial Sushi (sushi that covered with mangoo). Hmm....it's so tasty!

Meeting the parents...

Both of our parent still never got the chance to meet up for our wedding discussion ever since i agreed to marry Stew, . So, i told him to arrange for a 'meeting parents' dinner during this holidays when he has back to KL.

The dinner was held at Cystal Palm Seafood Restaurant (a restaurant which i might hold my wedding dinner there) last saturday. Actually, it was the idea of Stew's parent to choose on this restaurant & i had no choice..... Well, the foods tasted quite good & the decoration for the wedding still can be accepted. However, i don't really like that my wedding dinner to be held here due to the 'spacing' of the restaurant wasn't big enough. i told Stew that we might need to search around before committed to this restaurant.

Basically, the discussion was only started after the dinner & it is all about the ceremony of chinese tradition. Stew's parent asked whether mom has anything needs to add-on if there had missed out anything (it's their first time of having wedding celebration as Stew is the eldest son).
So, the discussion ended up at about 9.00pm with the bill of about RM300++ only for four course of dishes. Kinda expensive...

Thanks for the dinner, my future FIL!!!

Long long holiday...

The "Hari Raya Puasa" & "Deepavali" festive holidays falled to be on the same month & almost same week. Therefore, it is a long, long holiday for people like us (employee) to plan for a holiday break-away. However, many of my friend told me that, it is not worth to go travel as the hotel rate, flight charges & even prices for food will be definitely charged at the price of 'Peak Season' due to the holiday. I do believe that but...... this is the best time that you do not have apply any leave for your traveling.

So.....i've planned to runaway from the hustle & bustle city by having 3 Days 2 Nites 'holiday on cruise' - Superstar Virgo. Both darling & i were so excited to looking forward for it. None of us had ever experience that before.

TGIF, i'll be enjoying my holiday starting from today til Oct 29, 2006.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS.........

Wedding Shoes

I never thought that my wedding shoes can be bought at such a good & cheap price. Guess how much is it?? It’s only at RM37.95 after discounted price. Yess….it is that cheap!!! Never thought rite?? My budget just for the shoes was around RM150 earlier but now, i can save up the money for other accessories.

Actually, it happened to be so coincident that my sis & i went for shopping at Lot 10 last week (just for your info, my sis are very good shoppers. They can easily found with accessories at the cheapest price.) Hahaha…….

Well…the shoes seems to be quite elegance & nice. This is what I’ve been searching all these while. Thanks gals…………

Congratulation on your new born baby...

I’ve got quite a lot of news about new born baby recently. Perhaps year 2006 is a good year of having baby. I have three pregnant woman at the office & one of them has just delivered a baby girl two days ago. What a good news……! So, a colleague has suggested to pay a visit to her at Pantai Medical Centre. We went there yesterday after our working hours.

Guess what…..my first impression on that baby gal was …… “wow, it is a wonderment by having such a baby in your stomach & for nine months!!” It is sometime hard to believe. However, a stomach that can carry a LIFE is really, really amazed me.

That’s what i always say:” a mother is the most grandeur person in the world."

Wedding Preparation

I thought i supposed to be excited on my wedding preparation since i had the date like planning on which wedding style & venue, wedding packages, gowns & coats, shoes, accessories, dinner venue, places for honeymoon etc. However, I did nothing on it so far but only some research on Bridal Shop (BS) for the pre-wedding shooting.

There are many things that need to be planned & done but i seems to have no guts at all to do so. Maybe i am worrying…. worried that he might has time for the preparation (yes, he is working far away from me), worried that wedding will not go as planned, worried about life after married etc…… All these worried has caused lots of pressure on me & guess it is ‘phobia’ i should called. I told my sis about my problems, she suggested that i go for psycholo consultation.

Am i going to be ‘发疯’(mad) soon?? Guess this is the only way out…..at least for this moment!

Wedding Date

It was not an easy job to have a good & prosperity date for my wedding ever since i had agreed with his proposal. Why?? Good question! It all because of wrong timing - so coincident that it was the month of ‘Ghost’ according to lunar calendar. Oh my god….. that was really killing me as i personally don’t really believe in this. However, the mother (my future MIL) claimed to do so only after the two ‘ghost’ months. By then, only able to get a good & prosperity date to us (bride & groom). What can i do then? My darling & i had no choice but to wait after two months just to get the date. What a ridiculous thing……

Only til today, i had finally got the date - 29.09.2007 is going to be most memorable day to both of us & also a big changes in my life!

Well, i know….. it is still long way to go….

Tioman Island - Day 3

When the time i woke up already 0730. Well, it's the last day of our trip at Tioman Island and therefore, darling & I was so lazy to wake up early. We had our breakfast at about 0815 while others still having a sweet dream on their bed.

After the breakfast, we went to the beach for a morning walk as well as for sea-shell picking & photo shooting. Darling planned to go for kayaking with the colleagues but unfortunately, there all were still sleeping. Ends up with no activity on our last day at Tioman Island.
At 1130, we were checked-out from the resort. While everybody is waiting for the ferry, a 'Luck Draw' section was held and again, darling failed to draw anything, not even a cash voucher. Most of the pricey gifts were drawn by foreign labours.

What a lucky life in Malaysia!!!

We arrived at Mersing port was around 1330. Our travel agent stopped the bus at a shop for us to buy some native like dried salted-fish, jelly fish cracker, dried 'sotong' etc. I din't buy anything at all as I don't like that smell of those native. Therefore, darling & I went to a restaurant for our lunch. What a poor thing! No more food was available for us. Nothing else we can do but to wait till we've back to Johor. So, I took my lunch & dinner together on that day at Secret Recipe, Jusco Tebrau City and it was already 1730. Pity me!!!

Tioman Island - Day 2

It was 0700 when my alarm tried to wake me up. We've been requested to have our breakfast between the time of 0630-0930 (as fixed by the resort). This time, darling and I decided to go to the lounge earlier in order to prevent same incident happened like last nite (no much food left). Okay, there were not many guests queueing up there and now, I do believed that "early birds always get the worm to eat". HaHaHa....

Our schedule for today's activities started at 0930 as everybody needed to gather at the jetty. The first activity was snorkelling at another beaches (eg: marine park, tulai island, ayer batang etc.) as taken by a fishing boat. The agent rented for about 5 boats for us as we had total of about 80 persons. Of course, there are always choices to choose whether to join or not. It took about 30 min to reach at our destination. The water was so cold and the waves was also quite strong. Guess it might be causing by the weather that seems to be cloudy & raining on the day. However, we still proceeded with our snorkelling activity.

At 1200, we had our lunch, Fried Rice at Marine Park (provided by the resort). It wasn't delicious as the rice already cold & tasteless. Before heading back to our resort, we've been taken to a 'Duty-Free Shop' for short shopping trip. Well, all liquors & cigarettes are sold with price of tax free. But most of my friend told me that those so called 'Duty-Free Shop' usually selling with imitation liquor, meaning not an original liquors. Yet still many of them were buying from there. Time shown about 1500 and the sky started to rain when we were on the way back to our resort. The winds & waves was getting stronger and stronger which caused all of us felt cold & freezing. After a while, rain stopped and we almost reached at our resort, thanks god!

I felt extremely tired after the snorkelling activity. However, darling & his gang (some close colleagues) were suddenly held a valley ball match with their company foreign workers at the beach. That was a fun & friendly match.

Finally, darling & the team won the game! Good job darling!!!

Tioman Island - Day 1

Joined darling's company trip to Tioman Island for 3 days 2 nites on 29/09/2006 with the total of 80 persons (included of darling's company foreign workers). The journey started at 0930 whereas everybody gathered at a Petronas station located at Taman Pelangi Indah. It took about 1 hour 30 minutes to reach at Mersing port. From the port, we took a ferry and reached at our destination, Paya Beach Resort at around 1330. How I wish we can be there in the faster time as no entrtainment at all inside the ferry and it was bored & sleepy.

I heard that is a legend about the island of Tioman was formed when a magical dragon princess, flying from China to join her beloved prince in Singapore, became so enchanted with the warm clear crystal waters that she decided to discontinue her journey and formed into the beautiful dragon- shaped island to provide shelter and comfort for weary travelers. What a romantic legend...!!

After checked-in to individual's room, I was so excited as my room was just in front of the beach. It was so calm and relaxing to be hearing with the sound of waves especially during night time.

At 1500, darling's colleague Wong suggested to go for snorkelling among ourselves. Without saying a word, 20 of us rented the equipments (goggles, flippers & breathers) by paying RM22 and started our first day activity- snorkelling at the beach nearby our resort. Wow....the corals are big and beautiful like a flower while fishes are so cute and colourful. I was hoping desparately that can dive deep into the sea to have nearest touch with them. As time past by, darling & I started to feel tired and decided to go back to our resort. As we swam near to the beach, a RM50 note just floated in front of me. Yeah, yeah....it my luck day!!! haha......

After taking rest for an hour, time shown 1900 and we had our early dinner (buffet style) at the resort. I guess it was not early enough as when were got there, all the foreign workers were already in a long Q. No much food was left till our turn as the refill service by the resort was not efficient. Therefore, we had no choice but to take whatever left for us.

After dinner, darling & I went for a night walk at the shops along the beachside and of course with his colleagues. The colleagues bought some birs, cracker and started their night activity - gambling. No other words but 'gamblle' can be described about Chinese. Darling neither lost the game nor won the game as I told him that I am sleepy but eventually is an excuse to get him 'back-off' from loosing the game. Guess he wouldn't know that is my trick against him.
